Suroît is a South-westerly wind. The Suroît is a dominant wind; the one that blows frequently and annonces blue sky and warming temperatures. The land of the Suroît, neighbor of the large Montreal area, begins at the Southwest region of Quebec. Its borders are outlined to the North, along the Outaouais River beginning from Ile Perrot and branch off to Hudson and Rigaud towards Ontario. To the South, they discretly pass by the United States up to the Dundee and Covey Hill limits and join up at the town of Maple Grove including on its pathway Saint-Chrysostôme and Saint-Paul-de-Chateauguay.

The Suroît is truly inviting, where entertainment is in. Eau, vélo, agro and culture are important tourist products. More than 400 km of shores, 65 km of cycling paths, 300,000 apple trees, many museums and historic sites will enjoy your stay. Fanatic nature lovers will be swept away by the beauty of the landscape, the vastness of the waterways and the many picturesque side roads which crisscross the St. Lawrence plain. In an enchanting and harmonious setting, cyclists can ride to their heart`s content. For fun and party lovers, a lot of festivals and events are offered.
